6 outline graffiti fonts for layered paper craft and colouring pages

Picked by Selene Rocheline · 2026-08-22

An outline alphabet is the most flexible thing you can have in a font library, because it is really a set of empty containers. Put a photograph behind it and you get a picture-filled headline. Print it and hand it to a child and you get a colouring page. Cut it in two colours of card and stack them and you get something that looks properly made.

These six are the hollow ones in the collection. What separates a good outline face from a bad one is whether the paths are properly closed — if there is a gap anywhere in the letter, colour leaks out and cutting software gets confused about what is inside and what is outside. All six of these close cleanly.

    Hollow Outline Graffiti Font

The most useful of the group. Even stroke weight, gently rounded corners, generous space inside every letter. This is the default choice for anything that needs filling.

    Line Vandal Outline Font

Thinner and more angular, with straight cuts where curves would usually sit. It reads as technical rather than playful, which suits older kids and adult colouring.

    Clean Line Graffiti Font

One continuous line of even thickness per character. Light on the page even at large sizes, and the natural pick for single-line plotter drawing.

    Vector Sharp Graffiti Font

Not hollow by default, but the paths are so precise that adding a stroke and removing the fill gives you a flawless outline. The safest option if the result is going to a cutting machine.

  5. Bubbly Balloon Letter Font letters shown on a sample sheet

    Bubbly Balloon Letter Font

Rounded and forgiving, with the outline at a constant thickness. Small hands find these the easiest to colour inside, which matters more than it sounds.

  6. Horned Bubble Letter Font letters shown on a sample sheet

    Horned Bubble Letter Font

Rounded bodies with spikes coming off them. The horns give a colouring page something extra to do, and they layer nicely as a second colour when cut from card.

For layered card specifically: cut the outline layer in the darker colour and the fill in the lighter one, then offset the top layer by a millimetre or two rather than aligning it exactly. That small misalignment is what makes the finished piece look deliberate.
